THE CLINICAL IMPORTANCE OF PALLIATIVE CARE AND ITS BENEFITS IN MEDICAL PRACTICE

Abstract

The objective of this work is to elucidate the importance of palliative care in medical practice, emphasizing the benefits and impacts of its choice in this area of ​​professional activity. This study constitutes a bibliographical review of the literature on the importance of palliative care in medical practice. 10 articles published between 2015 and 2025 were considered. Original studies, systematic reviews and opinion articles published in Portuguese, Spanish and English were included. The searches were carried out using the PubMed, Scielo and Google Scholar databases. The following descriptors are used in health sciences: Palliative care and medical practice. The extracted data were qualitatively synthesized, emphasizing the benefits and impacts of palliative care in medical practice.
