This study analyzes the legal and practical implications of telework in internship relationships, in light of the innovations introduced by Law No. 14,442/2022, which amended the Consolidation of Labor Laws (CLT) and explicitly allowed this modality for interns and young apprentices. The main objective is to understand the extent to which the physical distancing inherent to telework affects the educational purpose of internships, as established by Law No. 11,788/2008, as well as to identify the main challenges faced by students in this context. The justification for this research lies in the growing adoption of remote work in the post-pandemic scenario and the need to critically assess its effects on professional training, especially in a modality whose essence is inherently pedagogical. In this regard, risks such as social isolation, weakened supervision, and the potential mischaracterization of internships as a learning instrument are highlighted. Methodologically, this is a qualitative study with a descriptive and analytical approach, based on a bibliographic and documentary review, including the analysis of legal provisions and recent scientific literature on telework and internships. The results indicate that, although telework offers benefits such as flexibility and reduced commuting time, its application to internships presents significant limitations, particularly regarding practical experience, interpersonal interaction, and pedagogical supervision. It is concluded that the adoption of this modality requires more specific regulation and the implementation of institutional practices that ensure the centrality of the educational process, with the hybrid model emerging as the most balanced alternative.
