Abstract

This study aims to analyze workplace harassment, characterized by repetitive situations of humiliation, embarrassment, and disrespect, violating human dignity and affecting the emotional health of workers in a scenario marked by excessive demands and competitiveness. The methodology was developed through a literature review of books, scientific articles, and legislation. Among the main references, the author Marie-France Hirigoyen stands out, contributing significantly to the understanding of workplace harassment from a psychological and organizational perspective. The analysis addressed how these practices arise, are maintained, and impact the daily lives of workers, occurring in different ways within organizations and profoundly affecting mental health, causing anxiety, depression, insomnia, burnout syndrome, and other emotional disorders. It is highlighted that workplace harassment is a structural problem linked to organizational culture and labor relations. It emphasizes that promoting a healthy environment goes beyond avoiding conflicts: recognizing that behind each function there is a person, with feelings, limits, and needs. Ensuring respect, dignity, and well-being is both a legal obligation and an ethical commitment to human dignity.
