INFLUENCE OF TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY ON THE HATCHING OF BROILER CHICKEN EGGS

Artificial incubation plays a fundamental role in broiler production, being directly influenced by the environmental conditions of the hatcheries. In this context, the present work aimed to analyze the influence of temperature and humidity on the hatching rate and embryonic development in broiler eggs. This is a literature review, in which scientific articles available in databases such as Google Scholar and SciELO were consulted, considering studies that address the effects of different temperature and humidity levels during incubation. The results indicate that temperatures close to 37.5°C to 37.8°C promote a higher hatching rate, while thermal deviations can increase embryonic mortality and compromise development. In addition, humidity plays an essential role in regulating gas exchange and in the formation of the air cell, ensuring the embryo's water balance. Under controlled conditions, hatchability can exceed 94%, highlighting the importance of managing these variables simultaneously. Therefore, proper temperature and humidity control is essential to maximize hatchability, reduce embryonic losses, and optimize production efficiency in broiler poultry farming.
