This paper analyzes the 6x1 work schedule as a model of productive organization and its impacts on the dignity of the worker. Through qualitative, bibliographic, and documentary research, the formal legality of the regime is examined in light of the 1988 Federal Constitution and the Consolidation of Labor Laws, under the economic logic that supports its adoption and the effects on the physical and mental health of workers, as well as the right to leisure, family, and social life. It is concluded, therefore, that although the 6x1 regime is formally legal, it directly conflicts with the fundamental values of the Brazilian legal system, especially concerning fundamental principles such as human dignity, as well as the principle of prohibition of social regression, thus justifying a normative review guided by the full protection of the worker.
