The work on screen analyzes the practical reflections of wage transparency from the implementation of Law No. 14,611/2023 as an instrument to combat pay inequality between men and women in Brazil. Transposing evolutionary and temporal barriers, wage inequality between genders has been a major structural problem in the labor market even in the face of the existence of rules regulating pay equality. In this context, Law No. 14,611/2023 emerged as an instrument to reduce gender wage disparities in Brazil, implementing remuneration transparency mechanisms as well as strengthening the supervision and accountability of employers in cases of transgression of the imposed rules. The study analyzes how this instrumentality contributes to the expansion of the visibility of wage inequalities present in companies as well as is able to stimulate the adoption and maintenance of internal regulations aimed at gender equity in such environments. The analysis demonstrates that the practice of inspection and wage transparency represent a potential factor in favoring social and institutional control over possible situations of discrimination. It is concluded that remuneration transparency operates as a relevant instrument for the promotion of wage equality, although its effectiveness depends on adequate supervision and the commitment of organizations to more equitable practices.
