MINUTE PAPER AS AN ACTIVE LEARNING STRATEGY IN MEDICAL EDUCATION: PROMOTING REFLECTION AND MEANINGFUL LEARNING

The Minute Paper is an active teaching strategy that fosters reflection and meaningful learning, widely used in higher education. In the context of medical education, its application can help the development of critical thinking and student self-assessment. This study aimed to analyze the impacts of using the Minute Paper in medical education, investigating its contributions to the learning process. Methodologically, it is a qualitative research with an exploratory approach, conducted with medical students. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using content analysis. The main findings indicate that the Minute Paper supports knowledge consolidation, helps identify difficulties, and stimulates active student participation. Additionally, participants reported that the strategy contributes to organizing reasoning and improves understanding of the content addressed. It is concluded that the Minute Paper is an effective tool in medical education, promoting greater student engagement and autonomy in the learning process.
