Taxidermy is a practice that combines science and art, playing a crucial role in the preservation of animals for educational, scientific, and museological purposes. This project proposes the creation of an ethical and educational taxidermy collection, focusing on environmental awareness and the appreciation of biodiversity, particularly in the Cerrado, one of the most threatened biomes in Brazil. Based on the collection of animals found lifeless due to natural causes, the project employs modern taxidermy techniques to ensure the preservation of anatomical and aesthetic details. The specimens will be identified and cataloged, including information about the species and the impacts of human activities on their habitat. These materials will be used in interactive exhibitions held in schools, museums, and community spaces, expanding public access to environmental education. In addition to the exhibitions, workshops and lectures will be organized to engage students, teachers, and the community in conservation practices. Direct interaction with the specimens aims to create a stronger visual and emotional impact, fostering interest in the environment.
