Domestic violence is a structural problem that persists in society, requiring more effective approaches to reduce its recidivism. This study investigates the efficiency of restorative sentences in the rehabilitation of family aggressors, analyzing their applicability, benefits and challenges. Using a qualitative approach, the research is based on a literature review of scientific articles, legislation and case studies. The main findings indicate that programs such as the Awakening Time Project significantly reduce the recurrence of domestic violence, reinforcing the importance of re-education of offenders and psychosocial support. However, challenges such as institutional resistance and the need for structured public policies still limit the widespread application of these penalties. It is concluded that the integration between punishment and re-education can be an effective path to a more humanized and efficient justice system in the fight against domestic violence.
