This paper presents a clinical case of a 3-year-old pitbull dog weighing 18 kg. She was diagnosed with poisoning due to the inappropriate use of silver spray based on organophosphate, aluminum and silver sulfadizine. The inappropriate or erroneous use of silver spray can lead to the death of the animal, as it is composed of substances that are highly toxic to animal health and can cause poisoning when ingested, absorbed in large quantities or inhaled. The animal presented neurological signs (seizures), vomiting, diarrhea, dyspnea and liver and kidney injuries. To conclude this work, a clinical case was analyzed and a literature review was carried out based on articles published between 2015 and 2025. Laboratory tests showed an infection, liver injury and kidney failure. Despite care, the condition evolved to the death of the animal. This case highlights the importance of veterinary prescription and guidance in the use of organophosphate-based products, aiming to avoid poisoning and improve the prognosis of patients.
